CALL FOR SPECIAL SESSION TOPIC!! PDF Print E-mail
News
Tuesday, 10 June 2008
Dear CBSIG members,

Recently, CBSIG has organized a number of successful special topic sessions. In the past, we have submitted proposals for topics and invited members and nonmembers to submit papers to these special sessions. However, this time, we would like to involve you in creating the session topic.

The CB field has been a very broad, dynamic field of research and we want to give you the opportunity to inform us on what it is you like to hear about in these special sessions. Hence, send us your ideas and we will formulate a special session proposal to be submitted for the 2009 AMA Winter Marketing Educators' Conference (http://www.marketingpower.com/content2835623.php).

Send your ideas BEFORE June 23, 2008 to:

On August 8 a pre-conference symposium, co-hosted by CBSIG and Sports and Special Events SIG will take place. We present to you cutting-edge, high-quality papers on an exciting topic: Using Consumer Behavior Knowledge for Effective Sports Marketing". Sports marketing and consumer behavior (cb) embraces a cutting-edge topic in the professional application of marketing thought. The growing complexity and importance of sports marketing has pushed scholars and practitioners to apply sophisticated marketing thinking and applications to this topic. Why is it wonderful to have an entire pre-conference event dedicated to cb and sports? It gives scholars and practitioners the opportunity to: a) gain rich insights on the newest avenues in consumer behavior as it relates to sports marketing, b) accommodate a number of quality papers, c) bridge practitioner trends with the latest scholarship, d) create synergies among academic SIGS, and e) and keep alive the enthusiasm of the conference with a unique, value-added experience.

Attendance is free and open to everyone; we hope to all see you there!
